math splash

When school begins each Fall, it’s anyone’s guess as to how well students will remember what they learned the previous year.

Research shows that students can lose an average of 2.6 months of math skills during the summer. What’s more, the average teacher can spend four to six weeks just re-teaching material that students learned previously.

Fortunately, those skills don’t have to slide. By dedicating just a little time and mental muscle each day, students can strengthen key skills–including those critical math skills–for greater success once school begins again.

Enter the Summer Math Splash Challenge

By participating in our recent math splash, Imagine Math students across the country completed over 200,000 math lessons and solved over 7 million math problems during the short summer months! Pretty incredible, right?

What’s more, students who passed five or more math lessons were automatically entered into a random drawing for our Big Kahuna grand prize:

  • a Kindle Fire tablet
  • A solar-powered backpack
  • Pencils
  • An Imagine Math journal

Imagine Math splash 2017

So–who made the biggest splash with math?

We were thrilled by all the math learning that went on this summer–and by how many students boosted their math skills and learned to enjoy math more.

Near summer’s end, we were excited to award five Big Kahuna grand prize packages. A big hurrah to our winners, who proudly hail from:

  • Columbia Elementary School (Davis USD, Utah)
  • Jack D. Johnson Elementary School (Carroll ISD, Texas)
  • Philadelphia Montessori Charter School (Pennsylvania)
  • Josephine C. Locke Elementary School (Illinois)
  • Renaissance Charter School – Charter Schools USA (Cooper City, Florida)

Congratulations to ALL participating Imagine Math students. You’re sure to make a big splash with math wherever you go!
