Hurricane Harvey relief, Imagine MathProvo, UT – September 13, 2017 – Imagine Learning, developer of the award-winning Imagine Math digital curriculum, announced today that students across the country have raised $5,000 for the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund—twelve days after hearing about the funding opportunity.

During the donation period, students solved more than 535,000 math problems and donated over 12.5 million earned math points, which translates to $5,000 for Hurricane Harvey relief. This donation is a part of Imagine Learning’s charitable giving program, which has raised thousands of dollars for local and national charities since its inception.

“It’s great to see our students so willing to help others,” said Joe Swenson, CEO of Imagine Learning. “Some of our partner schools and employees have told us firsthand about the ongoing challenges faced by communities in southeast Texas. We’re grateful to join forces with the American Red Cross at such a critical time, and we’ll continue encouraging our students and our employees to give as much as they can to local relief efforts, not just in Texas but in other areas as well.”

“Imagine Math students across the nation are always willing to exercise their math muscle as a means of helping others,” said Lisa Wise, manager of motivation at Imagine Learning. “It’s really heartwarming to see. We’re so proud of those who have participated in this important endeavor. Not only are they sharpening their math skills—they’re also donating critical funds to communities in need.”
